Corrosive IBC Store Replacement Case Study

The clients requirements

Chemstore was contacted by a medical device company to remove and replace a store on site which was approximately 18 years old. The store had to be removed using a Hi-AB crane which had very little room on site. the old store was removed to a scrappage site for disposal. The two new stores had to be lifted into position where the old store was removed from. The Hi-AB lift had to be carried out with precision and duty of care by O'Carroll Haulage.

Chemstore’s Technical Sales Manager, Ken Kelly attended the site.

The client required removal of a single chemical store. They also required two replacement stores that would fit within the space that the one larger unit left. This was due to the fact that the client was storing two chemicals that should not be stored together. This would require the use of a Hi-AB crane for both the removal and installation.

Our solution

The solution was firstly to remove the old chemical storage unit with the use of a Hi-AB crane. Then the installation of two new Corvaults. With the capacity to store 4 and 8 IBC pallets respectively. Both fitting perfectly in the space the old chemical unit vacated.

The delivery of the units was fully supervised by Chemstore. The units were positioned & secured in their final position by Chemstore Engineers.
